Alicia Machado and Daughter Metropolitan Fashion Week
Alicia Machado graces the red carpet with her beauty in a gold form-fitting gown at the Metropolitan Fashion Week at Warner Brother Studios Saturday evening. She brings a bright smile and personality to the event. She becomes the spotlight of the media and is surrounded.
She recently became the forefront of the presidential campaign. When Hillary Clinton’s campaign released the details of being Miss Universe 1996. She took a lot slack at that time from Donald Trump. The difficult days were not as easy as she faced much criticism. The woman she is today brought forward her strength as one who stands tall and one has learned a lot about the beautiful woman she is inside and out.
Alicia stands with great strength and courage as she addresses the press on the blue carpet. She takes a moment to thank all those who support her throughout this time. She said, “I love you all, I love you all and thank you very much for all the people who are supporting me right now.”
Alicia’s daughter, Dinorah Valentina Hernandez, walks the red carpet for designer Ricardo Soltero. This dress is a soft pink with gold trim on the bottom. Her styling is soft with pink roses adorning her head. She enjoyed her moment on the runway.
Her mother, Alicia, did not let the controversy stop her daughter from walking the runway for the day. She faces the controversy with firmness and a bright smile. The lesson for her daughter and many at the event is to keep moving one foot in front of the other. Demonstrating that life continues and we move forward.
De Champvigy, an international model, and actor, said, “I look forward to walking the runway in his tuxedo and a little swimwear.” He says, “I love my job. I love the runway. I love fashion.” His modeling started in 1999 and in 2015 a Top Model UK finalist.
His first modeling contract was with a top agency in Paris. He is loved by photographers with his exceptional ability to pose and capture each shoot. His modeling includes Valentino, Columbia Sportswear, Scotch & Soda, and Harper’s Bazaar. His modeling career allows for worldwide travel.
His modeling work includes United States, Asia, and Europe. His work in these countries consists of commercial, TV commercials, runway, and modeling. He is often found on the red carpet or runway while in the United States. Recently he has been seen at Rocky Gathercole as a model, Hearts for Fashion Charity Event, and judging Miss and Mister Deaf International 2016.
Arnaud De Champvigy Jo-Ann Dean at Metro Fashion Week
De Champvigy is hard of hearing. He faces this challenge with a great attitude and stubbornness. He uses lip reading to follow conversations. Jo-Anne Dean from Signmation joined him on the on the red carpet. They recently attended DEAFestival. This is, “to unite the deaf community once a year at an event that will promote high self-esteem and confidence among deaf children.” De Champvigy also works with awareness to children with cancer.
He loves fashion and business. He is the owner CEO ADC Diffusion and Geneva Fashion Week. He has served as the ambassador for Fashion Week in China. De Champvigy states, “March 2017 will be the first fashion week in Geneva Switzerland.” This will be a top international fashion event.”
Recently in Beverly Hills Geneva Fashion Week held a Party at Runway Road Kickoff Night. This party presented: Haute Couture, Swimwear, Italian Handbag, and shoe designers, glamour models, international musicians, and impressionist artist Jacques Silberstein. De Champvigy’s ambassador for Geneva Fashion Week is the beautiful Mackenzie Olson. If the Kickoff Night is any indication Geneva Fashion Week will be a fashion week to attend.
De Champvigy is honored to attend the two-day event at Warner Brother’s Studios. Thursday evening was to recognize Autism Speaks. De Champvigy states, “It was an honor to walk for autism. It is wonderful bringing awareness to autism.”
He is often seen in Los Angeles working out, enjoying sports, and staying in shape. He is genuine and down to earth. De Champvigy is a model, actor, philanthropist, and business person that will continue influencing in fashion, charity, business, and modeling.
One year ago she was working the challenges on America’s Next Top Models (ANTM). Capra’s dream was to appear on ANTM and work the runway. There was a height requirement in seasons past. She was just a little shy of the requirement until the last season. Tyra Banks saw something in the 5’5′ Capra.
Capra works hard and focuses on the challenges on ANTM. She has a major look change and takes it in stride because this is her dream. She gains a following that loves to seeing this young model make her dreams come true. This experience is a fabulous opportunity for Capra. It is heartbreaking for viewers when her time ended too soon on ANTM.
Capra continues to focus on her goal of modeling and makes it very successful. Capra says, “I turned to my faith, family, and good friends to pick myself up. I learned a lot about myself and modeling. I knew this was my dream and I love the work.”
Capra has done just that. She graces the runways, cover of magazines, red carpets and more. She commands the runway as if she is taller than life. Her runway shows have include Art Hearts Fashion Week, Metropolitan Fashion Week, LA Swim Week, and more. She is often referred to as the flower Child Virgin and her flower brand, “Bloom by Ava.”
Her mother, Ann Marie Capra, states, “Ava has worked hard to stay focused, true to herself, and is making her dream come true.” Her mother states it best. Capra during the last year after leaving ANTM accomplishes a lot. Tyra Banks saw something in Capra, but Capra continues to shows that something special. She brings a strong determination to fashion, runway, commercial, and beauty making her dreams come true.
Loretta Swit joins us on the red carpet at Metropolitan Fashion Week. She walks the red carpet with grace, beauty, and joy. She is wearing an elegant red gown that she designed.
Swit is best known for her Emmy® winning role Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on M*A*S*H. This role takes place during the Korean War. She is a strong woman in a medical army camp. She is the mistress of Major Frank Burns. Many actors on the show had a love interest in her character.
Houlihan provided a woman’s insight to working in a male-dominated arena, but great girl power. Swit speaks about her role as, “this character did this in the 50s as a woman. This television show’s time period was when most women were starting to define their role. Not only this, but the series took place in the 70s when women’s roles were still being redefined. She brought a reality that women are strong, influential, and powerful. I loved playing this powerful role.”
Swit is excited to see the role of women continue to be defined and change. She said, “Look at the election this year. Hillary Clinton has brought the first presidential nominated woman. She commands and brings a strong resume to the nomination.” Swit beamed as she discussed the role that women bring to the home, business, and world.
Swit’s most popular role is not her only acting role. Swit’s acting roles include Same Time, Next Year on Broadway, Any Wednesday,Mame, and 1000 performances of Shirley Valentine. She had a show, Those Incredible Animals, seen on the Discovery Channel, The Animal Planet and in 30 countries.
She was honored with The Sarah Siddons Award for her performance in Shirley Valentine. Swit honors are numerous from 2 Emmys, People Choice Awards, The Genie Award, The Silver Satellite Award, and 6 Golden Globe nominations to name a few. She is the Woman of the Year from the Animal Protection Institute and International Fund for Animal Welfare. Her love for animals found in her new book “Switheart.”
Swit works with National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. This foundation provides relief and strength in training rescued dog for first responders. The dogs are paired with a firefighter at no cost to the fire department. This training takes the dog from rescue to a contributing member of the community.
Swit’s honored with The GES Africa Conservation Fund’s 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award for Animal Conservation for her passion and commitment to animals. Metropolitan Fashion Week in Los Angeles sponsor, GES Africa Conservation Fund, is the leading Wildlife Management operation in South Africa.

This evening brings Autism Awareness to the forefront. Metropolitan Fashion Week and Autism Speaks preset En Blue 2016 Fashion Gala. This evening is to honor the 70 million affected by autism worldwide. The evening filled with glamour, honor, and autism awareness.

There is a lifetime need for many families. This support comes through contributions from donors, volunteers, events like this, and corporations. Autism Speaks in Southern California works with the community by providing kits, family services, and leading medical centers.
Autism, a complex developmental disorder from genetic and environmental influences. One in 68 children. The evening raises funds towards family help, research, and advocacy.
Harry Topping Jr. Metro Fashion Week Autism Speaks Warner Brothers
This evening Metropolitan Fashion Week produces an evening with Autism Speaks to honor Harry Topping Jr., Vice President of Corporate Real Estate at City National bank, and Steven Grossman, Talent Manager and Producer at Untitled Entertainment. Topping is honored with the Advocate of The Year. He started the golf tournament, Topping Brothers benefiting autism, after his three son autism diagnosis. Steven Grossman a firm believer his voice, platform, and relationships will strength the awareness and response. He is began working with Autism Speaks after his son’s diagnosis in 2013.

Jeannie Mai, television personality, introduces Steven Grossman. She states, “I will never forget New York Fashion Week FW 2013. This is the time when Steven got the news that his son, Graydon, has autism. The challenges for this family included finances, energy, lack of understanding from society, and understanding special needs. Steven posted this news on social media on July 20, 2013. He exposed one of the most challenging roles of a parent’s life. He did not want his family to feel isolated, unsupported or alone. He recognizes that if we all had a little more sympathy and understanding for families we can create a more harmonious future for our kids. A man who puts his wife and kids first.” Grossman provides awareness with conversation and continued support of Autism Speaks.

Grossman discusses the lessons his family learned from Graydon and his diagnosis. He states, “first be kind to each other. 1 in 42 boys does not mean anything to you if your life isn’t profoundly affected. Lesson two I don’t really know what normal or traditional means anymore in our society. In my family, we’ve started living with greater awareness of all the things we take for granted. With my son, we’ve learned to appreciate simple milestones like his willingness to wear his winter coat without a fight. Lesson three I feel compelled to tell you I’m not even the real hero. Those people are the folks from this charity, the doctors, the ABA and OT therapists, like Jane, Nay, and Amanda that work over 40 hours a week with children like my son. As I told Matt Asner, when he asked me to accept this award, personally didn’t think I did enough yet to deserve it. We went back and forth a bit about it, but I finally agreed that I would earn it. I will graciously and humbly accept this award on your behalf. I will continue to earn it.”
Graydon enjoyed the evening and told reporters about his dinosaurs. As the evening came to a close. He enjoyed the blue runway playing with his dinosaurs with his mother by his side.
The evening filled with exceptional fashion on the blue runway. Designers include Guess Kids, David Tupaz, Delia MacPhee, Sivalia Couture, and Ron Tomson. Many designers present designs in blue, the Autism awareness color. Hosts for the evening Molly Sims, and Kevin Frazier.
