Johnny Simmons joins us on the red carpet at The Emmy® Creative Arts Awards. He nomination is for Outstanding Cinematography For A Multi-Camera Series for Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn on Nickelodeon.
He loves working on set with the crew. The show is fun. It is about quadrupled with nothing in common and often get into trouble. He loves telling a story that this lasting and brings laughter. simmons says, “It is a lot of fun to get behind the camera to create the story.”
Simmons started with still photography, moved to music videos, documentaries, commercials, long-form television, and now multi-camera shows. He said, “the best advice to anyone starting out start with still photography.” His work includes: Richard Prior Here and Now, Selma, Lord Selma, and The Tracy Morgan Show.
He makes each day successful by not going to work. Simmons said, “It has always been fun. The collaboration with the crew, cast, and team members involved is like one big happy family. They moving towards one goal to entertain people, how it looks, and how the story is told. It is a wonderful opportunity.”
