Halloween Kills ~ A Generational Affair EXCLUSIVE

Halloween Kills ~ A Generational Affair EXCLUSIVE

Halloween Kills is a generational affair. Jamie Lee Curtis attends the red carpet in Los Angeles as her mother’s Psycho character, Marion Crane. The Halloween films spans three generations (more than 40 years) of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers.

Jamie Lee Curtis Halloween Kills Red Carpet

Halloween Series Synopsis

Fifteen years after murdering his sister on Halloween night 1963, Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital and returns to the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois to kill again (IMBD).

Series Synopsis

Halloween Kills is the continuing saga of Myers and Strode in the next thrilling chapter of the Halloween Series. It is recommended to watch Halloween 2018 before heading to the theatre, Sean James (Hairstylist to the Stars).

Halloween Kills brings Curtis’ character, Laurie Strode, three generations together for a final confrontation with Myers (masked figure who has haunted Strode for four decades) on Halloween night.

Curtis states regarding the film, “It’s going to be very exciting. People will be shocked. People are going to be agitated by this movie, in a way that I think they’re not expecting. That to me makes a great sequel. . . To all those people that love these movies, Happy Halloween.” (EPK.TV)

Halloween Kills Styling (EXCLUSIVE)

Creating Curtis into Strode takes a team. Sean James, hairstylist for Curtis, takes this powerful beautiful woman from her strong representation of being “true to herself” to Strode, traumatized by Myers for decades.

Red Carpet Styling

Halloween Kills U.S. film screening, at the TCL Chinese Theatre is a costume party. Curtis dresses like her mother, Janet Leigh, in her famous character, Marion Crane, from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film, Psycho. The styling did not miss a beat down to the wig created by James, using FHI products (see discount below). The struggle was real as wigs are in short supply because of the pandemic.

The search for Scarlett Johansson’s wig from the film Hitchcock was not located. The high and low search turns to a golden blonde colored wig. James states, “I could not find a golden wig anywhere. They kept showing me Marilyn Monroe wigs and platinum blonde wigs. Finally one was located that was as close as possible during this time.”

The wig was the wrong cut and texture. The next process was to cut and style the wig into the bubble (even Barbie has a wig that is the bubble style) style of her mother. James did his magic on the wig with FHI Heat Stylus High Altitude and FHI HEAT Platform Bounce Pro Curler to create the perfect look that Janet Leigh inspired in the 1960s.

The red carpet creation is completed with a bloody shower curtain.

Past Movie Styling

James has been doing Curtis’ hair since 1995. Curtis brought her daughter into Fred Segal Salon. She asked for James to do her daughter’s hair. Soon Curtis asked James, “What would you do with my hair?” James states, “I suggested we chop it all off. Then we had different versions of her hair.”

Halloween H2O we brought hair color to the shorter style. This change was a concern for Curtis. She was doing Activia Yogurt at the same time. It is important to stay true and honest to her audience and fans. Curtis was honest about her hair color. She was on Oprah stating the way Hollywood distorts imperfect beauty. The More Magazine article shows all the secrets of styling, stylus, and hairstyles as well as what Hollywood is and the falsification of people’s image.

The color change was a turn from her natural hair color. Making coloring difficult Curtis does not sit still for more than 20 minutes. The concept of processing color every three weeks to cover the natural gray was absurd to her. She hates having her hair colored.

Halloween Kills Press

James says, “It is so exciting doing all of the press for the movie. Going to Venice Film Festival with Curtis for the world premiere, James Corden, Kelly Clarkson, and Rachel Ray Show. It is wonderful watching Curtis shine with this new movie. I cannot wait for everyone to see it. It is a fantastic horror film. It is really a wonderful reveal of the town of Haddonefield, Illinois. I can hardly wait for the third part, Halloween Kills.

Excited to see this movie this weekend. You see your local theatre listings or go to Peacock TV for streaming options. Post your movie review here.

James has exceptional pandemic hair tip, “put your mask on and go and see your hairstylist. If you want a salon to go back to get in and support your hairstylist, salons are on the brink of closing for good all over the country. It’s time, if you are going to the grocery store you are ok in the salon. If you are afraid to sit in the salon while your color develops you can go and sit in your car for the developing time.” We all need to get back to beauty for sure. Style for the day you want not the day you have.

Golden Globes Showtime

The first ever bi-coastal Golden Globes. The audience is first responders from New York and Los Angeles. What a. great night. As Sean James, hair stylist to Jamie Curtis, states, “I feel like we are all going to be OK!” It really did make it feel all will be well.

First winner had a little difficulty but was able to make his speech thanking the crew, and cast. John Boyega, winner of Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television is wearing track pants with his suit jacket and dress shirt. He did not expect to win this evening. Ben Stiller enjoys a perfect banana bread loaf he made during the pandemic on stage. Guess that is the food for the evening.

The 2021 Golden Globe Ambassadors are, Satchel and Jackson Lee, children of filmmaker and three-time Golden Globe nominee Spike Lee and producer and philanthropist Tonya Lewis Lee. Golden Globes honor Jane Fonda with the Cecil B. deMille Award, and Norman Lear with the Carol Burnett Award.

Lear started with the Cold Deep Comedy Hour. He woke people before people were woke. He is still making television at the young age of 98 years young. Lear states, “laughter add time one’s life.” Fonda, made her first film in 1960, Tall Story. She states “we are humans firsts. . . expand that tent so that everyone rises.”

Ben Stiller and Jamie Lee Curtis

Sean James gives us insight into the trademark short hair of the beautiful and sexy Jamie Lee Curtis. He is the hairstyle for Curtis for the upcoming Rian Johnson film, Knives Out, and her 2019 Golden Globes red carpet phenomenon.

Jamie Lee Curtis’ Hairstyle LA Premier

Sean James, the hairstylist to the famous Jamie Lee Curtis, provides 4Chion Lifestyle an exclusive insight into her gorgeous hair. He states, “I’m so excited to share, the look I did for, Curtis for the LA premiere of Knives Out the megacast whodunnit thriller.
In the movie Curtis’ character, Linda Drysdale Thrombey, wears a bleach blonde platinum perfect look that I created for her at Matthew Preece Salon using Neo Bond hair protector, and Wella Blondor Toning with a mix of 9 level toners by shades EQ, it was styled on set with stylus hair care and FHI Heat tools supplied to the incredible hair and makeup team Luisa Abel makeup and Kelvin Trajan hair .
For Curtis’ red carpet look for the LA premiere last night, I used the chrome 2000 Blowdryer by FHI Heat and High Altitude Root Lift by Stylus Hair Care, round brushing it, to add volume and shape complimenting her beautiful face. To give hold the look and make sure it has volume and a punky attitude all night I used the ‘stay styled ‘ hair spray by Stylus Hair Care. Curtis’ favorite hairbrush is the FHI Heat Unbrush.”

Sean James Hair Stylist to the Celebrities

Sean James Hairstylist to the Celebrities

We first met James when he did a segment with FNL at YouTube space. He is often found in our seasonal beauty features. His passion is his talent and his talent is his passion. He creates a vision and makes that vision come to reality in hair. His ability to understand each person not just their hair but their personal style and personality makes his art as individual as those he works with.

James is from Australia and has settled in the beautiful area of Venice Beach. His talent has graced runways, Oscar-nominated films, televisions, a trusted panelist, and believes in giving back to the community.

He continues to increase his knowledge and talent with continued training with brands like L’Oreal, Redken, and Phyto University as well as product reviews. He even has talent in wig making. While he is busy with celebrities he still has time for his regular salon clientele. List of regular clients includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Hardwick, Al Yankovich, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Phil Keoghan, Eugene Levy, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Teddy Thompson,  Rufus Wainwright, Chris Stills, and many others.

Jamie Lee Curtis’

Curtis is a very talented actress we have covered on many occasions. She says about this film, “They will have a good time. A great movie. The puzzle pieces will come together in the delightful way of ‘I got this but then you don’t have it.’

She goes on to say, “Clearly this is a movie built for Thanksgiving weekend. If you want to ever make a movie about a dysfunctional family and then be able to take your dysfunctional family to see the movie, it’s this movie. It is a perfect family comedy.”

Jamie Lee Curtis Linda Character Poster

Her character, Linda Drysdale Thrombey, fashion and style for this film is an old school elegance. She centers the looks for this film around a Verdura Jewelry bracelet, seen in her poster for the film. The jewelry company founded in 1939 by Duke Fulco di Verdura, the jeweler is known for its timeless, elegant and distinctly original designs.

Thrombey, Curtis’ character in the film, is the eldest surviving child (is this a clue to the film??). She finds herself, much like real life, the center of the family, the cheerleader. A fun fact she lived in the kitchen, the center of the family life, of the home they filmed in for 2 months.

Curtis’ roles include Halloween (1978), Trading Places (1983), Perfect (1985) and A Fish Called Wanda (1988), True Lies (1994), for which she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance and many more.

Knives Out

Knives Out, A Rian Johnson Film, Synopsis

Acclaimed writer and director Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) pays tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie in KNIVES OUT, a fresh, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect.  When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death. With an all-star ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, and Jaeden Martell, KNIVES OUT is a fun, witty and stylish whodunit guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the very end.

The movie release is Nov. 27, 2019. Check local listings for times and locations.

Party at the Golden Globes

Party at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes (presented by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association) is Hollywood’s Party continues to bring the message for women to the forefront. The red carpet was glamorous with the Time Is Up movement and an evening full of entertainment.

Time Is Up

This evening the celebrities wear black bracelets with “Time Is Up.” The bracelets bring attention to the clock is running out on sexual assault, harassment, and inequality in the workplace. Ryan Seacrest wears the bracelet while being under accusations for sexual harassment.

Sandra Oh brings this message to the forefront as the first Asian to host the Golden Globes. She says, “I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here and look out onto this audience and witness this moment of change. I’m not fooling myself. Next year could be different and probably will be. But right now, this moment is real.” Equality is stepping forward one historic moment at a time.

Carol Bernette is honored as one person who is a barrier breaker throughout her career. This evening she is the first recipient of the Achievement in Television, the Carol Burnett Award. She was the first woman to host a variety show, awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and Kennedy Center Honors.

Red Carpet Glamour

This evening is the first red carpet of the new year. We are honored to cover presenter Jamie Lee Curtis. She brings the most amazing transformation look. She is all monochromatic ice white head to toe. She is wearing Alexander McQueen gown with glitzy silver, Perrin Paris clutch, Cathy Waterman jewelry, Camille Clark beautiful makeup complimenting the styling, and her new all white coif hair styling.

Jaime Lee Curtis Golden Globes 4chion Lifestyle Party
Jaime Lee Curtis Hairstylist Sean James

Sean James, the hairstylist to the stars, presents the top look of the evening’s red carpet. James states, “I used Fhi heats “Stylus” products for root lift, “high altitude” on towel dried hair, and then went through the hair section by section. I continued applying heat and letting it cool in the small round brush, this creates the volume. My favorite blow dryer to use is the FHI HEAT Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000. It’s Powerful Tourmaline Ceramic core helps control the heat without burning. This comes with a great cool button. Once I’ve created the lift and shape I go into the hair, pulling, shaping and separating the hair with “stylus “ hairspray “stay put .” I like to step back and look at it from all angles making sure that the hair is complementary to the face, ears, nose, eyes, and chin. I go over and give it one final spray with the stylus “Stay Styled. ” This makes hair flexible, Jaime can run her hands through it anytime she likes. When I bleached Jamie’s hair I used Neo bond. To protect and strengthen the bonds of the hair.” See below James has provided our readers with a special offer on the FHI Heat products.

The red carpet is known for its fun party atmosphere. This year the glamour was top and fabulous. The men looking all dapper in a great variety of tuxedos and great ties. Timothée Chalamet brings a new look for men to the red carpet with a sequin harness that has black iridescent and purple beads, seven different shades of sequin and a hidden pocket, with an embroidered bib, paired with a shirt, pants, and boots from Louis Vuitton.

The individuality of the women was very present this evening on the red carpet. The glamour is present with exceptional looks with personalized styling and fashion. Regina King wears an Alberta Ferretti floor-length dress features pink sequins with detailing along the sides. Lady Gaga pays homage to Judy Garland in a Valentino seven foot train gown. Judy Garland is the first actress to star in A Star Is Born and an influence for Lady Gaga. See the red carpet looks below.
