Makeup Steps
So, let’s get right to it. I am going to show you how to achieve this perfect filterless look.
The first thing we are going to do is apply the “Glow Up Primer.” Yes ladies, finally a primer that is clean, light weight, nourishes and moisturizes. It is infused with hyaluronic acid and goji berry. The secret to this long-lasting glow look is apply the primer first, followed by your moisturizer.
Next step is to apply “Halo Glow Liquid Filter,” which is filled with squalene and hyaluronic acid, this gives you glowing skin. You are going to apply e.l.f. Cosmetics beauty blender or buffing foundation brush. When applying you are going to use the “stippling effect brush” by tapping it into the skin until blended. After applying the foundation, it is that time to bake and set with the setting powder. Yes, that is right “powder.” The difference is e.l.f. Cosmetics’ High-Definition Powder is loose, finely milled, and infused with sapphire particles to give a perfect soft glow, and blurs imperfections. This will give you that “selfie” ready look always.
Lastly, to finish this look, apply blush and bronzer using the powder blush palette by e.l.f. Cosmetics. This gives those cheekbones the perfect contour. I love e.l.f. Cosmetics glossy lip stain in a “fiery red” infused with Jojoba oil to give the perfect hydration and long-lasting lip. Welcome back to the Oscars® everyone! Blessed to be back and without the masks. I am ready to share with you my behind the scenes techniques to achieve that glass skin look. As a makeup artist & skin educator my focus is all about the skin baby. So let’s win with some of my must have products ladies. Achieving Glass Skin
Achieving glass skin is hard to achieve, so here’s my tips on how to make your skin look flawless, smooth, and yes “like” glass. First step for my queens is skin prep! Exfoliate the skin, then apply Peach & Lily Glass Skin Serum all over (rated 5 stars for top refining serum). Step 2- Apply Clarins Extra Firming Serum, this is spanx for the face ladies, it instantly firms & visibly tightens. I am obsessed! Step 3- Our goal is to keep the skin natural in order to achieve that “glass skin”. So we need to go in with a tinted moisturizer (CC cream or BB cream) if you have clear skin, or for a full coverage foundation we want to aim for Dewy finish, matte has got to go. Many have heard of the term “baking” the skin that is a term used for applying powder to create a more mattified look. In this case, dewy skin and powder do not mix. In fact the goal is to plump the skin and give it that sun kissed natural glow. To set the look, we are going to add the Peach and Lily Glass Veil Mist. This product will drown in your skin in hydration like a big glass of water.. It’s that good ladies.
Last Step to Glass Skin
The last step ladies is very important so stay with me! This is the home run to glass skin, apply 2-3 drops of Josie Maran Argan Oil – rub it into your hands to warm up the product then gently pat it on your cheeks and forehead two times and you’re done, and don’t forget the plump lips ladies. My favorite product for lip plumping is by Too Faced Cosmetics, they are available in multi-shades rated five stars . These are all my hidden gems and techniques to achieve the “Glass Skin” look. I think the most beautiful look sometimes is a simple eye, contour, and bronze highlight with a stronger brow. Oh yes, ladies we can’t forget the lashes. I use Lilly Lashes on my clients, favorite ever.

4. Foundation makes sure that it is dewy and hydrating. Stay away from the matte look and powder. This look causes an aging affect. Hollywood beauties do not like aged skin.

5. Go straight to the amazing Cover Fx Monochromatic Bronzer. Two steps because at the Oscars Time is of the essence. Use the bronzer as a contour I love this color it’s very warm and looks good on all skin tones.
a. Angle brush applying
under the cheekbones building slowly as desired.
b. Blend the hairline upwards
as well.
c. Make sure to blend
around the edges around your chin. Bam perfection.
6. Use the highlighter and when applying from temple and right
above cheekbone. Not to close to the eyes. This is that simple yes, but pure
elegance.
7. Take a little of the highlighter use it as a highlighter under the brow and sweep softly across lid and call it a red carpet look.

b. Use the awesome applicator tip as your guide to line the lip color then color in the rest of the lip. You can call it a red carpet lip.

8. Keep your brows strong but soft. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow definer is my favorite to use on clients that do not have much hair. Go the opposite direction In light feathery strokes. It’s easier to see the technique I use then to explain it. There taupe color is so beautiful for many.
9. Check your shade; make sure you match your own brow hair.
10. Then last but not least, the most important. Those lashes. They complete the whole glitz and glam red carpet look.

Well, I want to first start with hair colors for fall, we are going to be seeing a lot of reds red browns, golden tones, bronde (A mix of brown and blonde highlights through brown hair). The latest trend of mushroom (ashier tones) highlighted hair should go into a rootier look with balayage vs foilyage technique.
On the red carpet, we are going to see big bouncy waves, the best way to get this look is the 1 1/4 “ curling iron by FHIheat. Center parts are back. It’s all about the dewy skin on the red carpet. Mix 3 drops of a liquid highlighter into a white color, then into your foundation then use a dewy primer. Time Is Up
This evening the celebrities wear black bracelets with “Time Is Up.” The bracelets bring attention to the clock is running out on sexual assault, harassment, and inequality in the workplace. Ryan Seacrest wears the bracelet while being under accusations for sexual harassment.
Sandra Oh brings this message to the forefront as the first Asian to host the Golden Globes. Carol Bernette is honored as one person who is a barrier breaker throughout her career. This evening she is the first recipient of the Achievement in Television, the Carol Burnett Award. She was the first woman to host a variety show, awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and Kennedy Center Honors.

This evening is the first red carpet of the new year. We are honored to cover presenter Jamie Lee Curtis. She brings the most amazing transformation look. She is all monochromatic ice white head to toe. She is wearing Alexander McQueen gown with glitzy silver, Perrin Paris clutch, Cathy Waterman jewelry, Camille Clark beautiful makeup complimenting the styling, and her new all white coif hair styling.

Sean James, the hairstylist to the stars, presents the top look of the evening’s red carpet. James states, “I used Fhi heats “Stylus” products for root lift, “high altitude” on towel dried hair, and then went through the hair section by section. I continued applying heat and letting it cool in the small round brush, this creates the volume. My favorite blow dryer to use is the FHI HEAT Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000. The red carpet is known for its fun party atmosphere. This year the glamour was top and fabulous. The men looking all dapper in a great variety of tuxedos and great ties. Timothée Chalamet brings a new look for men to the red carpet with a sequin harness that has black iridescent and purple beads, seven different shades of sequin and a hidden pocket, with an embroidered bib, paired with a shirt, pants, and boots from Louis Vuitton.
The individuality of the women was very present this evening on the red carpet. The glamour is present with exceptional looks with personalized styling and fashion. Regina King wears an Alberta Ferretti floor-length dress features pink sequins with detailing along the sides. Lady Gaga pays homage to Judy Garland in a Valentino seven foot train gown.
