The Royal Gala is a night where all thing glamorous and beautiful shine. Her Highness Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi presents spring summer 2018 at Palazzo Versace in Dubai. This fashion show brings an exclusive runway for royal and VIPs of 10 international fashion designers.

This season hundreds of designers applied to take part in this exclusive fashion event. The fashion show narrowed the choice down to ten designers:

House of Hend

This fashion is opulent materials and delicate embellishments are instruments of choice for each creation.

R2 Abayas
Is very modern, almost avant-garde twist to her abaya collection
Cilvana Designs
Makes everyone look beautiful, without the slightest compromise
Glamour Hunter
Celebrates the feminine figure in a sophisticated and elegant way
Pilar del Campo
Designed for the day-to-day of women who look to the future
Antonio Croce
Offers the paneled print of an agave whose sinewy leaves climb up the fabric almost as if it wishes to embrace the forms and shades.
House of Makta
Fashion house design is classic chic, with a hand-made custom design which features delicate details.

The designers come from Spain, Italy, India, Iran and other countries. The fashion is versatile and full glamorous evening wear. The fabrics, embellishments, accessories, and shoes for high-end styling and fashion. The top fashion event is timeless classics and modern twists.

“This by-invitation-only event was graced by royalties from all over the world, including Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain etc. Consuls and ambassadors of different countries were also in attendance as well as top fashion influencers and social media personalities.” (Her Highness Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi). The evening included dinner and a thank you speech by Her Highness Sheikha Hend. What an evening for sparkle, glam, and elegance.

The Glamour of the 1940s ~ Badgley and Mischka

Badgley Mischka presents a collection at New York Fashion Week. It has been a little while since they produced a collection walk the runway. Last year instead of a runway collection they were on a book tour. “Badgley Mischka: American Glamour,” we had the honor of meeting with them during this time.

They discussed the runway and creating a collection. Runway designing compares to a wedding 6 months of really hard work and in five minutes it is over. It is exhilarating to see the full design and styling. Mark Badgley said, “it is like seeing your daughter on her wedding day.” They love the runway part of the fashion world.

This collection takes women back to a time when things were tough and how they power through these times. The collection takes silhouettes from the 1940s. A time in history that required women to power through tremulous times.

The collections take nipped waists, a sense of armor with the use of beads, and jewels, longer hems, and voluminous skirts. They do have the seasonal trends with embroidered flowers, red roses, play with the sleeves, and the color red. There is a real modern pull from the 1940s silhouettes.

Badgley and Mischka continues the tradition of exceptional details. They are known for their beading and embellishments; it is all in the details. The inspiration for their beading comes from jewelry. Many dresses may have up to 30,000 beads, beaded by old men in India. They consider themselves magpies when it comes to their beading collections.

This collection included everyday wear from tracksuits to cashmere coats with sleek pants. The designer did not take from their glamorous woman even with flats.

Every woman who wears Badgley Mischka will be super glamorous with comfort and modern sensibility (sizes to 16 on the website). This collection adds a sense of empowerment. These designs will grace red carpets, social gatherings, and on the streets.The designers demonstrated that it is all in the details at Badgley Mischka.

Kether Donohue Celebrates ~ Grease Live

Kether Donohue joins us on the red carpet at the Emmys^® Creative Arts Awards. She comes with a strong background in television, theater, and film. She is an actress, producer, director, and writer. Her performance in Grease Live as Jan provides comic relief.

Donohue embraced her career from an early age growing up in New York. She attended a performing arts high school and graduated from Fordham University with a concentration in film. This training prepared her for each role she has undertaken.

Taking on the iconic role Jan in Grease Live took some time to create the character into a new modern role while capturing Jan’s essence. Donohue states, “The directors provided an atmosphere for me to explore, make mistakes, and hone in on the character for this production.” This allows for Jan to come to life for a new generation.

Her career has spanned decades. She has worked with theater allowing for her to interact with the audience and crew during a performance. She moved on to voice-over work. This took some time to get used to being alone in a room during a performance. Each role has provided insight to her next performance.

Her beauty in a Vivienne Westwood corset cocktail dress and Prada shoes grace the runway, but her intellect and passion to each role she embraces were clearly demonstrated. She is in You’re the Worst on FX Networks.

Grease Live awarded 5 Emmys® for Outstanding Lighting Design Lighting Direction For A Variety Special, Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, video control for a limited series, movie, or special, Outstanding Special Class Program, Outstanding Directing A Variety Special, and Outstanding Production Design For A Variety Nonfiction Event Or Award Special.

She joined Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough on the red carpet, her co-stars.
