Her friends, family, and press gathered at the Moda gallery for drinks and conversation, while the models and stylist prepared for the runway. Beauty Warrior, directed by Adamme Sosa, planned the styling for the show with Maggie Barry. Adamme was so excited to work with Maggie who is a trendsetter who steps outside the box. Maggie and Adamme created the seventies take back with a New Original Work (NOW).
The styling was a timeless cutting edge look. Creating individual lashes gave a real Barbie feel, the color was monochromatic, and the makeup final touch with a red lip styled after Marilyn Monroe.
Adamme, judge and winner on Global Beauty Masters, brings great insight and skill to makeup. He recommends bronzers and moisturizer as a key to successful makeup. The moisturizer sets the skin up for success. Bronzers whether male or female is the timeless piece that brings the skin a sun-kissed look. The Golden Globes (presented by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association) is Hollywood’s Party continues to bring the message for women to the forefront. The red carpet was glamorous with the Time Is Up movement and an evening full of entertainment.
Time Is Up
This evening the celebrities wear black bracelets with “Time Is Up.” The bracelets bring attention to the clock is running out on sexual assault, harassment, and inequality in the workplace. Ryan Seacrest wears the bracelet while being under accusations for sexual harassment.
Sandra Oh brings this message to the forefront as the first Asian to host the Golden Globes. She says, “I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here and look out onto this audience and witness this moment of change. I’m not fooling myself. Next year could be different and probably will be. But right now, this moment is real.” Equality is stepping forward one historic moment at a time.
Carol Bernette is honored as one person who is a barrier breaker throughout her career. This evening she is the first recipient of the Achievement in Television, the Carol Burnett Award. She was the first woman to host a variety show, awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and Kennedy Center Honors.
Red Carpet Glamour
This evening is the first red carpet of the new year. We are honored to cover presenter Jamie Lee Curtis. She brings the most amazing transformation look. She is all monochromatic ice white head to toe. She is wearing Alexander McQueen gown with glitzy silver, Perrin Paris clutch, Cathy Waterman jewelry, Camille Clark beautiful makeup complimenting the styling, and her new all white coif hair styling.

Sean James, the hairstylist to the stars, presents the top look of the evening’s red carpet. James states, “I used Fhi heats “Stylus” products for root lift, “high altitude” on towel dried hair, and then went through the hair section by section. I continued applying heat and letting it cool in the small round brush, this creates the volume. My favorite blow dryer to use is the FHI HEAT Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000. It’s Powerful Tourmaline Ceramic core helps control the heat without burning. This comes with a great cool button. Once I’ve created the lift and shape I go into the hair, pulling, shaping and separating the hair with “stylus “ hairspray “stay put .” I like to step back and look at it from all angles making sure that the hair is complementary to the face, ears, nose, eyes, and chin. I go over and give it one final spray with the stylus “Stay Styled. ” This makes hair flexible, Jaime can run her hands through it anytime she likes. When I bleached Jamie’s hair I used Neo bond. The red carpet is known for its fun party atmosphere. This year the glamour was top and fabulous. The men looking all dapper in a great variety of tuxedos and great ties. Timothée Chalamet brings a new look for men to the red carpet with a sequin harness that has black iridescent and purple beads, seven different shades of sequin and a hidden pocket, with an embroidered bib, paired with a shirt, pants, and boots from Louis Vuitton.
The individuality of the women was very present this evening on the red carpet. The glamour is present with exceptional looks with personalized styling and fashion. Regina King wears an Alberta Ferretti floor-length dress features pink sequins with detailing along the sides. Lady Gaga pays homage to Judy Garland in a Valentino seven foot train gown. The designer Ronald van der Kemp is the world’s first sustainable couture label. The look is completed with Djula black diamond hoop earrings. She is the recipient of one award.
Rita Ora wears Atelier Versace monochromatic gown. This is full of sex appeal with her thigh high boots and high slit dress. The boots and dress accentuated with gold leaves and flowers. She is wearing diamond rings from Kallati, Marli New York and Le Vian.
Jeannie Mai brings the clothing glitz to the red carpet with a pair of wide-leg shimmering pants and sex appeal with a sheer top. She completes the look with a Borgioni diamond ear cuff and black heeled boots.
Gwen Stefani is here to support her boyfriend Blake Shelton. He is the recipient of an award. She is wearing Balmain bringing sexy on the edge. Dream Angels will be spotlighting the fantasy bra this year. Victoria’s Secret (VS) Angel Elsa Hosk will be wearing the $1,000,000 bra this season in New York City.

Elsa Hosk is a 29 year old Swedish model. She did spend time playing basketball in Sweden. Her modeling career includes Dior, H&M, and Guess to name a few. Hosk began modeling at the age of 14 in Sweden. She moved to New York and signed with IMG Models. Her modeling with VS began in 2011. Hosk officially announced as an angel in 2015.
She is honored to wear this fantasy bra because of the glitz, shimmer, and shine. Her makeup will compliment the glamorous bra.
Creating the Fantasy Bra
This year’s fantasy bra is by Atelier Swarovski. It has 2,100 Swarovski Diamonds and topaz that is responsibly sourced. It is a sterling silver cage. The body chain is comprised of Topaz with the center stone being a pear shaped 2.03 carat Atelier Swarovski Created Diamond. This bra took 930 hours to create the hand set bra. It has over 71 carats.
This is tied with Claudia Schiffer’s fantasy bra in 1996 (the first year for the runway) for 1 million dollars. The most expensive fantasy bra is Gisele Bündchen 2000, Red Hot Fantasy Bra at $15 million.
This year, for the first time, a similar fantasy bra will be open for purchase on Nov. 29, 2018. It will have Swarovski crystals for $250at select Victoria’s Secret locations.

This year the show is moving from CBS to ABC for network showing. New York is the perfect location for the runway. The night will be filled with angel wings that take 6-9 months to be hand-crafted.

Rocky Gathercole takes Style Fashion Week New York by storm. He brings honor to Thierry Mugler, a Paris fashion designer, down the runway.

Mugler is a designer with a strong art background from drawing, dance, interior design, and fashion design. His designs started as ready-to-wear for boutiques. He finally preached out on his own and presents a collection in 1973. He continued to develop his skills developing structure designs. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, Frances governing board for designers, he developed an Haute Couture collection. His most famous dress worn by Demi Moore in the movie Indecent Proposal.

Gathercole brings the strong structure from Mugler and stays true to his design with metals, glass, and crystals. The spring summer collection is part one of two. The second part is title Angles and showing in Los Angeles at Style Fashion Week. He slips in a gorgeous red gown that is perfect for any red carpet during award season. It will be fun to watch the award season and tours to see what artists are wearing his designs.
Gathercole is a designer who as a teenager could not get a job as a janitor but he focused and achieved his dream of fashion. His designs now dress the top celebrities in Hollywood. His creation worn by Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Thalia, Cee-Lo Green, and more. Gathercole states, “I was a kid back then trying to make it through this harsh world, and a much harsher fashion scene. But with the help of the Almighty, a mentor and of course, much hard work, I finally made it. I’m a fashion rebel, which just mirrors my personality. ” His runways always come with intense design and beauty.
