1 cup dried quinoa
2 cups water
What You’ll Need To Know
Combine 1 cup quinoa with 2 cups water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer until quinoa is tender, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let is sit for 5 minutes. After it has cooked and rested, use a fork to fluff and separate the grains.
Season the sea bass with salt and pepper.
In a large saute pan over medium heat, add the coconut oil and heat the oil to a slight smoke. Add 1 sprig of fresh thyme to the saute pan and sear the sea bass skin side down for 3/4 of the cooking time about 7 minutes. This will give the fish a nice crisp skin and golden color. Carefully turn the fish over, to finish the other side. Remove the sea bass and hold in a warm place.
In a mixing bowl, add the diced mango, purple onion, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapeño, lime juice and salt and mix together.

The film takes two different generations and puts them together at a time when their lives are struggling. They must overcome their differences in age, personality, and more. The journey takes them to become best friends while supporting each other’s dreams.
The script develops from Mentz’s visit with Gwen Davis, the author. He personally delivers a keyboard he sold to her on Craigslist. The visit became an all-day adventure with cookies, tea, and scrapbooks. She told stories about hanging out in a place with the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant. Butler developed the screenplay after an evening of Mentz regaling the day’s adventures. Davis’ stories and life inspire her.
Mentz states, “We wanted to bring this message to the foreground, that relationships whether romantic or platonic do not have to be in the same age group. Relationships in different generations are not really discussed.” The movie takes on generational struggles and friendships that help with making dreams come true.
Fall, actress Elaine Partnow, brings a lot to the role. Mentz says, “She brought the character to life much more than we could ever imagine.” Partnow brings Fall to life with details that are specific to Fall’s her generation. Partnow presents the need to be private and dressing up before leaving the house. Just a few details Partnow presents throughout the film that bring her generation to light.
Adam, actor Jesse Pepe, presents with his own story and struggle from the start. His past is still very present. This takes precedence over Adam and Fall’s each dream. Adam was not onboard with Fall’s concept of dreaming in life,

Julissa Bermudez Oscars Red Carpet Styling
Ivanna Fontana, celebrity stylist, “impeccable sense of style allows her to create a stronger brand identity for her clients by transforming their personal image.” Fontana says for your spring styling, “add deconstructed shirt-wear to your wardrobe. Fuschia pink is definitely the trend this season.” She found it an honor to style the beautiful Julissa Bermudez, American television personality, actress, dancer, model, and singer, for the glamorous evening.
Bermudez wore Nicole Bakti fall winter 2016 collection style “Nikole Bakti“. The gown is a soft pink a feel of romance with a mermaid cut, this is a perfect gown for Bermudez. This was a sexy feminine look. The gown has a peek-a-boo shoulder with added flair. The earrings and rings adding sex appeal to the styling are Michael Kors. The jewels continue with the romance and glamour perfect for the Oscars® red carpet, ceremony, and after parties. She is impeccable and beautiful for the evening.

The Visit is a day in the time of a visit with a mother (June Squibb) and son (Sean Maher). The story takes a specific moment in time during the son’s life and develops a sequence of events that change lives. The son must face the consequences of the events.
Schwedler’s attention to details in the film completes the story. She states, “every little detail, in the lighting, the wardrobe design, and every odd thing matters.” The juxtaposition of this story develops well with the attention to details.
Schwedler develops the story from a conversation she had with her father concerning her aunt. Her aunt experiences loss of most family and friends. Coping with the deep grief and loss her aunt develops elaborate stories about those she lost. Her techniques in film development here allow the audience to experience the emotions in the story.
The casting for the short film was “serendipitous,” she says. She approaches June Squibb, Oscar-nominated actress, at an award dinner in Los Angeles with a flash drive of the script. Sean Maher, Ben in the short film, heard about the project and appreciates June Squibb’s work. His agent contacted Schwedle in regards to working on the project. The casting provides a twist much like the film. Check local film festival events for screening.
Lady Gaga is preparing for the biggest show in sports, the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The practices and song list not released to the press at this time. This classically trained musician will present a top performance. The stakes for any performance are high. There is nothing comparing to Lady Gaga and Diane Warren’s 2016 Oscars performance ‘Til It Happens to You.
This song was the theme song, The Hunting Ground, a film about multiple students who allegedly sexually assaulted at college campuses, and there claims ignored or required to navigate a complex academic bureaucracy addressing their claims. This collaboration nominated for an 88th Oscars MUSIC (ORIGINAL SONG) and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. We meet Diane Warren, at the Creative Arts Emmys®.
Emmys® Creative Arts
Diane Warren’s award-winning music writing started early in life. One of her first songs was Solitaire and Hot Night, for Ghostbusters. She has worked for decades creating award-winning music.
She states, “this song became something more than ever expected. Listening to the stories of these victims compelled me to write the song. I want this song to be the inspiration to all going through a difficult time.” We talked about the moment at the Oscars® when the victims filled the stage. The emotion that filled the room as they stood to share their message of being a victim written on their arms. She said, “It was a moment to listen and feel.”
Backstage Emmys® Creative Arts Awards Diane Warren
Diane Warren is the recipient of Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, at The Emmys®. She said, “I am a bit overwhelmed at this moment.” This song has carried this message to many sexual assault victims and many more.
“‘Til it happens to you, you won’t know
It won’t be real (how could you know?)
No it won’t be real (how could you know?)
Won’t know how it feels.” (‘Til It Happens To You)
The statistics, “Every 98 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. And every 8 minutes, that victim is a child. Meanwhile, only 6 out of every 1,000 perpetrators will end up in prison.” (RANN).
“If nothing changes, more than 100,000 college students will be sexually assaulted in the upcoming school year.” (Kilpatrick, Resnick, Ruggiero, Conoscenti, McCauley (2007) The Hunting Ground)
Red carpet ready takes months of planning when you grace the Oscars® red carpet. “Look here, hey over here, look to your left, look to your right, it’s me” hundreds of photographers shout to each celebrity on the Oscars‘ red carpet. Getting to this moment in the day takes a team putting together the best-dressed celebrity. There are many red carpets in Hollywood on the day of The Academy Awards. The personal brand image plays no higher importance than on this day when thousands of cameras are capturing every detail.
Lady Gaga Oscars Red Carpet
2016 Oscars red carpet presented exceptional design, style, and fashion. The classic designs to a jumpsuit take the styling to a personal level. The couple of the evening was Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
Kate Winslet & Leo DiCaprio Oscars Red Carpet
The real miss of the evening was Heidi Klum. The design and styling is the worst dressed. The layers of mixed materials and large flowers were only part of the problem. The diagonal cut with the peek-a-boo cleavage was just awkward. We agree there were some real misses on the red carpet this year, including Kate Winslet.
Heidi Klum Oscars Red Carpet
The team’s best dressed was Olivia Wilde. This stunning Valentino Haute Couture gown provided a bareback and beautiful cleavage. The chocker provided an additional sex appeal. Gabriel, @GabrielStylesU, stated, “One thing I feel all females lacked last night was accessories.”
Olivia Wilde Oscars Red Carpet
The red carpets are endless on this night in Hollywood. There are all the after parties, viewing parties, and more. Vanity Fair held an exceptional event and had a fun red carpet. Elton John always has a viewing party for his Aids Foundation. The other parties include:
Governor’s Ball
Fox After Party
InStyle Oscar Viewing Party
Oscar Salute
Mercedes-Benz USA & African American Film Critics Association Oscar Viewing Party

“You know there are so many images that day on the red carpet. When
you are getting ready for a red carpet event go through some images
that you might want to look like. What are you going for as a look?
Remember head texture and what is important when choosing your
preferred look. This is even a good idea for men. What do they want
to do? Do they want spiky and short? He doesn’t want to be slick or
more gel. There is so many choices these days with Instagram
and Pinterest, make sure you choose the one that’s right for you.”
The stylist’s job is to bring all looks together that the team has envisioned for the celebrity. Gabriel Styles U, says, “Bringing one’s image to life is simple. BE YOURSELF.
