Sunscreen Hair Care ~ Beauty Tip
Sunscreen is a must during the hot summer days at the beach, pool, and outside activities. Sunscreen is great for skin protection from burns, blisters, and skin cancers. Sunscreen is just as important to care for your hair during the harsh summer conditions.
Sunscreen is important for your scalp, this is covered by skin. Your hair needs this same protections as well. Wearing hats is always a good option in the summer for protection of your scalp and hair. Purchasing hats with a wide brim and sun protection is an exceptional protection.
Hair sunscreen is very important to protect hair. The wind, sun, chlorine, loss of moisture, and heat damaged hair. This damage causes brittle, dry, and lackluster hair. There are many products and remedies you can use to protect your hair during your summer fun.
Some of the recommendations are:
- Homemade Hair Care Mask
- Coconut or Olive Oil and cinnamon hair mask
- 1 cup olive oil or Coconut Oil slightly melted (the oils provide SPF 8)
- Please use only one of the oils.
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- Mix ingredients to a paste. Massage into hair and wrap in plastic shower cap, sack, or wrap. Leave on hair 15-20 min. Wash with warm water and gentle shampoo. Style as usual.

Commatteo ~ New Lines
Antonella A Commatteo, the designer of Commatteo, takes the runway wearing an asymmetrical top with a peek-a-boo short underneath. The attention to her personal style concludes the runway with a strong influence line created in the collection. Lines bring this collection a perspective that creates a personal fashion statement.
The line creation for some dresses uses a slit to create a movement that is unique to the dress. The ability to vent the dress around provides a revealing sexy appeal in the movement. Taking the dart off the gown brings a free flow movement to the gown.
The empire waistline silhouette fits the bodice, but here is designed without the normally gathered skirt. The long loose flow provides more volume to the gown and places emphasizes on the bust line. The use of lines in different directions and angles provides a visual dimension and depth to the collection.
The front of Ava Capra’s, model, dress as well as the gown was worn by Sibley Scoles, E! News Correspondent, creates a line with the placement of the geometric shapes. The back of Capra’s dress is sheer black. Continuing with the revelation of sensuality. The pleat lines below the waist provide a voluminous flow.
The dress worn by Capra the collar gives the illusion that it continues down the back. When the model turns around you see that the collar is round. Scoles’ dress uses a combination of traditional collars and necklines to create the height and depth. The various necklines in the collection combine traditional collars and neckline to create new shapes, dimensions, and illusions.
“The runway makeup styling is natural especially the brow. We are going to see more natural brows this spring.” (Alejandra Barraza, TNT Agency) “The hair is soft waves with a little curl. This summer season does not forget the sunscreen for your hair.” (Maily O’Neil, Mai Salon El Paseo). The styling was slightly individualized with each look.
Heather Larose, singer-songwriter, and Meredith O’Connor, singer, and Anti-bullying activist, took the runway with a performance. They present messages about the ability to express individuality without bullying.

This part of my life was reaching the professional, ageless female, who loves fashion, constantly on the run, needing a mix and match pieces to change from day to evening.” The collection brings the ability for self-expression with the ability to combine pieces and use the lines for accentuating. Shahida Parides fall winter 2017 collection, shown at Style Fashion Week LA, embraces nature, culture, and color for each woman. The runway collection embraced women throughout history, roles, and lifestyle.
Taking the colors from nature brings a vibrant collection. The hue values add a level of intensity closely related to nature. The color combinations in the collection bring the look from a nature walk in many areas of the world.
The collection embraces versatility. The dresses, pants, shorts, jumpsuits, and kaftans provide the opportunity for daily, evening, and special occasion. The kaftans are designed for wearing in various styles. This allows for the clothing to provide an off the shoulder, halter, and crisscross look.
The styling in many pieces in the collection include Swarovski crystals, embroidery, and patchwork. Each piece is handcrafted with organic fabrics and natural dyes. The collection is soft light fabrics that fit the hot summer or Sonoran desert, Shahida Parides headquarters.
This design firm started by Shahida Clayton in 2003. The firm started with services for private labels. She finally developed her own personal collections and the Heart2Heart charity.
