Tammy Forchion Palazzo Hotel
The Grand Canal Shoppes
Rene’ Tyler
Her flagship store is inside the Grand Canal Shoppes in the Palazzo Hotel. This is the only plus size fashion on the Las Vegas Strip. She features an exceptional red carpet, every day, and swimwear. It is near the Sushi Samba and the glitzy escalator. The brand is a family collaboration with her son, Chase Tyler. They combined their middle names for the name in 2016.
Rene’
is so grateful for her son. He has allowed for her to achieve and create her
dream. She says, “I would not be here today without him.” She turns to him
during the interview to have him assist shoppers with the search for the skirt
she is wearing.
Congrats on your fashion story. It is amazing to watch your growth from your 2016 runway to this beautiful store here.
Her fashion sense and approach is to make all women feel beautiful. Her fashion is seen at AMC network show, ‘Dieltand,’ worn by Orange Is The New Black actress, Laverne Cox, for the Netflix Strong Black Lead campaign, recording artist Marsha Ambrosius during Maxwell’s 50 Intimate Nights Tour, The Daily Show correspondent Dulce’ Sloan for the 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and America’s Got Talent Finalist comedian Vicki Barbolak.

Rene’ Tyler Moves From LA to Vegas
She is originally from Las Vegas. She moved to LA to start her fashion line. “The time was right to move back,” she says, “it is time to open a brick and mortar.” It is important for the ability to try this fashion on and make sure it fits.
The Palazzo provides them with a great space. It is a nice convert from the previous men’s store to this beautiful plus size store. The only plus size shop on the strip. Her goal is opening in more cities.
This is a beautiful area for shopping. I enjoyed the afternoon walking the shops. It is filled with great food, gondola rides, and entertainment. Parking is free at The Palazzo.
She
does have online ordering for your fashion needs. You can shop here. Have
specific needs please feel free to contact her.
Hot Curves
No
one was doing plus size fashion at Los Angeles Fashion
Week (LAFW). She produced her own show. This was the influencing for plus
size fashion at LAFW. This fashion institution will be coming in the near
future for 40+ and plus size fashion.
Rene’ Tyler Sex Appeal of Style Accessories

Laverne Cox Wearing Rene’ Tyler
Rene’ Tyler Dressing Laverne Cox
Rene’s most honored fashion moment was when Cox, actress, wore her dress. The dress was sent to The Only Agency for Danielle Brooks. Cox fell in love with the dress and bought it. This was such an amazing honor to have her wear this dress with all she represents bravery, embracing, and beauty.

Rene’ Tyler Honoring Women
We first meet Rene’ at Art Hearts Fashion Week in
2016. Her runway was a hit with all in attendance. The fashion was daring,
elegant, and embracing each woman’s beauty.
This tradition continues with her fashion designs for any plus size woman. Her next adventure adding 40+ for runway modeling, and her latest LAFW runway included a trans model.
Her fashion design
is fabulous with personal styling for any individual. Her fashion sense and
approach is to make all women feel beautiful. She incorporates using many
fabrics, textures, draping, and beautiful designs.
Her inspirations include Christian Siriano, Ralph & Russo, and Zuhair Murad. This provides her insight into current trends but allows for the different and unique for every woman.

Rene’ Tyler Start to The Day
Her start to the day is coffee. It is very evident in her shop with the sign at the register saying, “No coffee, no workee [SIC].” Then she centers herself with prayer and meditation. Focusing on the day’s how, what, and when needs.
Rene’ Tyler’s Influencers
Her mother and grandmother are extremely influencing on her talent and ability to design. Her grandmother came from the south and had very little. She would sew all her children’s clothing. She put so much love and made it seem so effortless with everything she did. Rene’ said, “I bring that same love to each design I create.
My mother was there when I took home economics. I made my first pillowcase. My mother was there to assist it just helped me to see my passion for sewing. She gives me strength, determination, drive, and her personal elegant style really influences my personal style today.
Rene’ Tyler Fashion Tip
Rene’ says, “They have to have the right undergarments, the right bra, panties, and Spanx. This provides a nice smoothing. It takes the lines away. This is the moisturizer of fashion.” Of course this day I forgot my Spanx. It is all in the details.
Rene’ Tyler Most Proud in Her Brand
Rene’
is extremely proud of Hot Curves, the first plus size runway at Art Hearts
Fashion and Style Fashion Week. This is such a great honor to bring plus
fashion design to the runway.
Her most proud moment is making the cover of The Las Vegas Review. She is still beaming from this moment. She did not know she was going to be on the cover. This was such an honor because there was a time when her ancestor could not come down the strip to gamble, work, eat, or explore. The African American performers had to come through the back door to perform here. She is the only African American woman-owned business at the Grande Canal Shoppe.
This is an honor to cover the journey with Rene’ Tyler Plus Size Fashion from LA to Las Vegas. She brings sex appeal and many influencing firsts to fashion for all women.
The Golden Globes (presented by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association) is Hollywood’s Party continues to bring the message for women to the forefront. The red carpet was glamorous with the Time Is Up movement and an evening full of entertainment.
Time Is Up
This evening the celebrities wear black bracelets with “Time Is Up.” The bracelets bring attention to the clock is running out on sexual assault, harassment, and inequality in the workplace. Ryan Seacrest wears the bracelet while being under accusations for sexual harassment.
Sandra Oh brings this message to the forefront as the first Asian to host the Golden Globes. She says, “I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here and look out onto this audience and witness this moment of change. I’m not fooling myself. Next year could be different and probably will be. But right now, this moment is real.” Equality is stepping forward one historic moment at a time.
Carol Bernette is honored as one person who is a barrier breaker throughout her career. This evening she is the first recipient of the Achievement in Television, the Carol Burnett Award. She was the first woman to host a variety show, awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and Kennedy Center Honors.
Red Carpet Glamour
This evening is the first red carpet of the new year. We are honored to cover presenter Jamie Lee Curtis. She brings the most amazing transformation look. She is all monochromatic ice white head to toe. She is wearing Alexander McQueen gown with glitzy silver, Perrin Paris clutch, Cathy Waterman jewelry, Camille Clark beautiful makeup complimenting the styling, and her new all white coif hair styling.
Jaime Lee Curtis Hairstylist Sean James
Sean James, the hairstylist to the stars, presents the top look of the evening’s red carpet. James states, “I used Fhi heats “Stylus” products for root lift, “high altitude” on towel dried hair, and then went through the hair section by section. I continued applying heat and letting it cool in the small round brush, this creates the volume. My favorite blow dryer to use is the FHI HEAT Platform Nano Salon Pro 2000. It’s Powerful Tourmaline Ceramic core helps control the heat without burning. This comes with a great cool button. Once I’ve created the lift and shape I go into the hair, pulling, shaping and separating the hair with “stylus “ hairspray “stay put .” I like to step back and look at it from all angles making sure that the hair is complementary to the face, ears, nose, eyes, and chin. I go over and give it one final spray with the stylus “Stay Styled. ” This makes hair flexible, Jaime can run her hands through it anytime she likes. When I bleached Jamie’s hair I used Neo bond. To protect and strengthen the bonds of the hair.” See below James has provided our readers with a special offer on the FHI Heat products.
The red carpet is known for its fun party atmosphere. This year the glamour was top and fabulous. The men looking all dapper in a great variety of tuxedos and great ties. Timothée Chalamet brings a new look for men to the red carpet with a sequin harness that has black iridescent and purple beads, seven different shades of sequin and a hidden pocket, with an embroidered bib, paired with a shirt, pants, and boots from Louis Vuitton.
The individuality of the women was very present this evening on the red carpet. The glamour is present with exceptional looks with personalized styling and fashion. Regina King wears an Alberta Ferretti floor-length dress features pink sequins with detailing along the sides. Lady Gaga pays homage to Judy Garland in a Valentino seven foot train gown. Judy Garland is the first actress to star in A Star Is Born and an influence for Lady Gaga. See the red carpet looks below.

D’ Jesus Trujillo and Ava Capra Photo credit Raymond L. Forchion
D’ Jesus Trujillo graces the world with his own personal style on the red carpet and catwalk. He states, “It is all in the confidence.” Trujillo brings his Latin flair, confidence, and style to his walk anywhere.
“How did life’s journey bring you to television, runway training, and production?”
“I have always had a fascination with Style and Fashion. When I was in my teens, I moved to Mexico City to become an actor. My dream was to move to the United States and break into Hollywood. While studying at the Andreas Soler Academy I taught modeling and choreography to support my education. I realized that I had a passion for the industry and my desire to pursue this path as a career developed.”
“After moving to California, I found it was a struggle just to survive. My resolve to succeed intensified not just for me, but to help others like me who have a passion for design, modeling and style. I wanted to prove to myself and show others that success can be achieved with focus, determination, and patience. One night while watching Univision, I saw a feature on a Latina designer who made it big in the U.S. Her story inspired me to reach for the impossible and to never be ashamed of who I am or where I came from.”
“As a business owner in the fashion and entertainment arena what one piece of insight would you share?”
“Never give up your dreams and never compromise who you are. Your uniqueness is one of your biggest assets.”
D’ Jesus Trujillo and Tammy Forchion Photo credit Raymond L. Forchion
“What are the changes to fashion shows and runways you have seen in the last few years?”
“Acceptance of and a trend toward more ‘real’ models. I am seeing more models who don’t fit the traditional ideals. Models who are shorter, plus sized, older and those who push traditional gender boundaries are becoming more common. I believe this is a healthy trend for the Industry and for the public.”
“When looking for talent what are the top three items do you look for?”
“Personality. Charisma and personality is key to being able to sell a garment.”
“Looks. Uniqueness or the ‘X-Factor‘ needs to match the image of the designer and the garments that will be on the runway.”
Confident. All-inclusive walk and presence that will transform each garment into “fashion”
“How does social media play in your business and training?”
“Social Media is essentially primary to getting my image and my message out. It is invaluable for networking and for keeping up with fashion trends both in style and design. You cannot be successful today without a strong social media presence.”
D’ Jesus Trujillo and cast Photo credit Raymond L. Forchion
“Recently you had some cameos on Strut, produced by Whoopi Goldberg, what does this show bring to the transgender community and the fashion industry?”
“Strut is groundbreaking in showing that the Transgendered Community consists of people with normal lives who have the courage to be who they are. It provides courage and inspiration to an unimaginably huge population of people who struggle to find themselves and fully develop to their full potential regardless of the challenges they face in our culture. It also shows the status quo in the industry that it’s who you are, not what you are supposed to be that holds star potential.”
“What is the one thing you do each morning to start off your day?”
“Each day I wake up, put my feet on the floor and thank God for the gift of another day in this life. Then I go to social media to review what’s come in overnight and to communicate with those who reach out to me. I review the latest fashion news about my friends and colleagues and begin to formulate a motivational message that I can send out to those who follow me.”
“When was a time when an event went from stress to best?”
Every event presents different challenges, from models who do not show up to missing accessories or shoes. No show ever goes off without unexpected events that must be dealt with. The key is to expect the unexpected and to improvise. The public doesn’t know the planned script so the final product is what’s important.
“Working fashion shows what is a typical day start to finish?”
“The day cannot start without my coffee! LOL Typically I begin by reviewing the lineup for the show, from garments to accessories to make sure everything is correct according to the models who are going to wear them.”
“Next I have a meeting with the Team (keeping in mind that the show is based on teamwork). Review any last minute changes. Communication is important.”
Check on hair and makeup to ensure everyone knows their assignment and they have what they need to do their work.”
“Assign an assistant for each model.”
“Rehearse each model so they know their timing and choreography on the runway.”
“Coach individual models as needed”
“Review final preparations and make sure the team is ready for the show.”
“Lights, Cameras, action.”
“Working with some of the top fashion magazines, fashion weeks, and photographers what does working behind scenes bring to the final production?”
“As with any production, what you see on stage is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much talent, creativity, and intensity that takes place behind the scenes it’s really unbelievable. Working in a creative and cutting-edge industry such as fashion requires quick and innovative thinking, coordination between designers, models, producers, hair and makeup artists, right down to those who take care of the coffee. Every person, no matter how seemingly insignificant to the final product, is essential to the success of that production. I am always amazed at the dedication of everyone involved and how it brings the final show together as a success”
D’ Jesus Trujillo The Walking Man
“Image is an important addition with the rise in selfies what is one focus you think could improve a person’s image?”
“Confidence! Confidence with a bit of sassiness really provides the charisma that attracts others. Wear it, Own it, Sell it!”
“You present a great cohesive style. How did you discover your personal style?”
“My style comes from a desire to be sexy, sassy, and fun to work with. My inspiration comes from my native culture in Mexico. I seek ways to use and promote indigenous fashion in the mainstream. Being bold, confident and sometimes outrageous is what inspires me to create and to be who I am.”
Trujillo works this at each event, project, and runway he attends. We always look to see the shoes that tie his personality, style, and confidence together. Many days on Facebook you will find words of wisdom with a picture of one sexy shoe. He practices what he teaches each day.
Trujillo states, “I always encourage everyone to practice, practice, practice and to be comfortable with who you are. Have patience and remember, it’s not enough to dream. You have to take action for those dreams to become reality.” He draws his influence from Coco Chanel.
Chanel demonstrates Trujillo’s statement about never giving up. Chanel’s life story is her determination, energy, and ambition coming from nothing to big global success! His favorite quote from Chanel is, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, in our ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Trujillo lives this each day.
He provides a vision to his life with his personal style, work ethic, and dedication. Keep an eye this year on social media to see the shoes that tie Trujillo’s style, mission, and uniqueness to his inspiration.
Life brings vigor and invincible feeling you get from a brand new connection, some may even call it love. This collection by Niiffe is strong, bold, powerful, and modern. The collection brings femininity, passion, and strength.
NYC Soiree Niiffe Red Dress Collection
The Collection Love
The woman who wears these designs are in tune with her curves, body, and wants to accentuate every part. This is an opening of heart, mind, and being indestructible. The beautiful red color is perfect bringing longing, lust, sexuality, sensitivity, and romance to the collection. The woman is independent and willing to take risks. She hair and makeup details below. Omobolaji A Onaolapo, the designer at Niiffee, brings her understanding lines to complete the femininity and passion.
Omobolaji A Onaolapo Designer of Love Collection
Onaolapo began sewing from watching her mother sew curtains and bedding. She began with pencil sketches and began creating her clothing while in college. Soon her friends began asking for her to create clothing of them. Completing her degree she worked in the gas and oil industry, but one day decided to quit and focus on her golden empire, fashion.
Onaolapo began with a bespoke brand catering mainly for weddings and special events. Her designs have been on many red carpets and celebrities. Her designs represent her belief that women should fit the clothing and not the clothing fitting the woman. This spring summer 2018 collection brings the woman to a look that fits her every curve and line in an asymmetrical fashion. Onaolapo stays focused and directed each day on her talent and dreams.
Onaolapo enjoys starting her day successful. She states, “The first thing I do in the morning is open my eyes and say a prayer of gratitude. I know it sounds silly but it gets me positive and ready for the day when I acknowledge all the great things I have going for me.” This positive start to the day helps her maintain balance in life.
Developing an international fashion company takes a lot of time and effort. She maintains a balance by, “making sure I have a start and stop times. Yes, some days I can’t help it when work runs later than planned but I make sure that doesn’t happen a lot. So my loved ones don’t feel neglected and I have time for myself as well,” she says. This is an important example of taking care of self and personal relationships.
She continues with life balance and with exercise, a lot. She works on, strength training, yoga, and cardio. I can’t do without my workout routines. I am also super conscious of my diet so I try to stick to natural meals and freshly cooked meals.” Her focus on balancing her health, relationships, and business keep her on track to continue focusing on personal goals and achievement.
NYC Soiree Niiffe Red Dress Collection
Achievement and Goals
Her biggest achievement to date is that she has not quit. She says, “Because this job is super stressful and demanding. And despite that my brand keeps growing.” Her insight into the fashion industry and continuing to develop and grow is stressful but maintains a good life balance with health, focus, and personal relationships.
She continues to focus and drive with her goal in place. Her top goal is, “the future includes pushing my brand to a level of success where it becomes a force to be reckoned with in fashion. Another important goal of mine is to use my medium (Fashion) to make an impact in people’s lives. If I can help one or two people do their goals and make their dreams a reality then that translates to success for me.” She is aware of her brand, success, and the women she is designing.
NYC Soiree Niiffe Red Dress Collection
The future is bright and her collections focused for the modern woman who is looking to love herself, her style, and her body. Her spring-summer 2018 collection presented at the FDC-YDA Soiree in New York City.
FDC-YDA
The young designers are ages 9-25 years. The vision is to present an international platform for dynamic young designers. This is to help them to find their niche as people and become a brand in their own right. Increasing the numbers and visibility of young and exceptionally gifted multi-cultural designers. Then encourage them to reach their true potential, by rewarding those who excel both creatively and academically

75th Annual Golden Globes red carpet show a sign of solidarity with a void of color for many celebrities in attendance. Many choose to wear all black in a silent voice against sexual harassment and supporting “TIME’S UP, a unified call for change from women in entertainment for women everywhere.”
This group addresses the inequality and injustice in workplaces for underrepresented groups reaching their full potential. The celebrities wore black as the key to their fashion and styling choices. Many adorned with an accessory pin from the organization.

The red carpet became a real black tie affair. The black theme did not mean a void of personal style. Many celebrities choose textures, trims, makeup, and jewels to carry out their styling. Jessica Biel wore a beautiful haute couture Dior gown with a half-moon over a tulle draping with a soft romantic pink slightly showing through.

The ceremony continued the theme with speeches including Oprah’s acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement. She offers encouragement for the future by stating, ” it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say ‘Me too’ again.” Oprah brought many to tears with her speech supporting the night’s voice against sexual harassment.

Barabara Meirer states, “A lot of women will wear black tonight to support the Time‘s Up movement. I think this is a great and extremely important initiative! Nevertheless, I decided to wear a colorful dress tonight,” she wrote. “If we want this to be the Golden Globes of the strong women who stand up for their rights, I think, it’s the wrong way not to wear any sexy clothes anymore or let people take away our joy of showing our personality through fashion.” Fashion made a statement this evening and for generations to come. Support was felt in fashion, speeches, and pins throughout the evening. See the full evening photos here.
